Lifestream Design

Hi! Erin Blaskie here… ![]() You might have seen me around the Interwebs or you may have known me for awhile. Either way, something you may know about me is that I like to live my life in two ways. (1) Online and (2) Efficiently. In July of 2009 (yep, if you’re reading this in July, just this month!) I decided it was high time to improve the situation of my social media chaos. You MUST know what I am talking about… If not, let me tell you a story.
For a long time, I failed miserably at keeping them all up-to-date (as you yourself may experience from time to time) and when that started happening, I felt HORRIBLE! Like I had set out to do something and every day, felt as though I were failing at it a little bit more. I let myself stay in social media chaos hell for a long time. Too long really. Then, July of 2009 sprung up and I was asked to speak at WordCamp Montreal. For those who don’t know, WordCamp is essentially a conference / gathering in thousands of cities around the world where WordPress geeks come together to share both the technological and the theoretical sides of blogging. I was speaking theory. With no topic in mind. So, I e-mailed Jeremy Clarke, one of the organizers of #wcmtl (Twitter hash tag ftw!) and sent him a topic I had known about but wasn’t implementing myself — the lifestream. This was two weeks before the actual conference AND I was headed to New York City the following week so I had a few days to really sink my teeth into the lifestream and the presentation notes. So, I began mapping out what the lifestream looked like. Why Lifestreams Help Take the
The reason these are so needed is because people are feeling the “need” to utilize all of these different sites but there is no automation or system to it. Implementing a lifestream also provides readers with a snapshot of your life providing a much more in-depth look into what you are doing, reading and listening to. The Incoming Lifestream Map
The Outgoing Lifestream Map
These two maps show you the flow of information into and out of your lifestream blog. What happens when you have these systems connected to a central place is that people only need to go to one place to see what is new with you and your world. This helps create a centralized location or hub for your readers. This is better known as notifying your tribes. Why Would I Want to Invest
They may find it nearly impossible to keep up with everything you are doing and they may not have any opportunity to learn about you… the real, truthful you… the one that is going to attract in other authentic people. Aside from the noise factor, it helps YOU out by creating efficient systems so that you aren’t manually updating Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc., etc. but rather having an excellent system that allows your blog to work for you AND allows for social interaction. The thing is, lifestreams aren’t for everyone but when you tap into their power — really cool, efficient and exciting things start to happen. Cool! How Do I Start the Getting started is actually super easy. In fact, I’ve already done most of the leg work so it’s just a matter of strategizing what is going to work with you and then coming up with a plan to put in action. We’ll take care of everything for you…
All it takes is for you to say, YES! I want to be able to have an integrated system for all of those social networks and be able to host my content, life, blogs, ideas and thoughts in one place. What Sort of Packages At this time, there are two packages available. We realize that a lot of people may already have existing blogs in place so one package contains the blog setup, design and customization and the other is just the lifestream design itself. Package #1 This package is the all-inclusive package. It includes everything listed above in the "How Do I Start the Journey" section. This is the package that produces a result like Lifestream in Color.
To recap, the package includes:
This package is bundled together for only $995! You’ll get an entire web presence, a fully customized and designed background and the lifestream completely mapped out for you! Yes! I Want the Lifestream Package #2 This package is the basic package. This package does NOT include custom design, WordPress installation, WordPress setup, etc. This package is only suitable for those people who have a pre-existing WordPress setup. This package includes:
This package is $495! You’ll get a lifestream design integrated into your existing site seamlessly! Yes! I Want the Lifestream Still Not Convinced? Here’s the best part… I’m actually not trying to convince you If you’d like to learn more, you can review the PowerPoint presentation I gave at WordCamp Montreal here: Lifestreaming: The New Future of Blogging?

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, Ryze, Plaxo Pulse, Plurk, Digg, Delicious, Technorati, Stumble Upon, etc., etc. all creeped up at some point or another in my life and I joined the sites. Yep. Each and every one of them.
Lifestreaming is a continual broadcast of events in a person’s life through digital media. Lifestreaming is also the act of aggregating many streams, generally using a third party service that then shows the content in chronological order.

With the amount of NOISE in our world today, it’s easy for our customers, colleagues, fans and friends to get lost in the midst of all of that noise.
